Bo Shan is an established New York City-based consultant who provides tailored business coaching solutions to clients in the public and private sectors. Working with a number of leading international firms, Bo Shan helps ensure that those in managerial positions are effective in their roles and helping organizations thrive.

Mr. Shan’s background as a policy strategist and researcher extends three decades, and he spent a dozen years as a foreign service officer with the U.S. State Department. Working from consulates and embassies spanning the globe, he offered timely assistance to U.S. citizens in foreign countries. As a member of the diplomatic corps, he assembled and wrote numerous reports, and ably served his country as a public emissary.

Mr. Shan was also a RAND organization analyst who spent seven years in New York City undertaking evidence-based research that fulfilled the requirements of diverse international clients. His emphasis was on public policy areas such as economics and defense, and he drew on a global collaborative network, as well as local subject matter experts, as key resources. Bo Shan holds an undergraduate degree in psychology earned at Stanford University, and also holds a PhD in sociology from Harvard University.
